A few worth knowing. Hydrocolloid only works on spots that have surfaced, since the patch absorbs fluid from the top of the skin, so it won't do much for an under-the-skin bump or a deep cyst. Wearing one too long once it's saturated can trap moisture against the skin, which feels less fresh and can irritate sensitive types. Adhesive can react on people with very reactive skin, so a patch test on the inner arm is smart if you're new to them. They also don't address underlying causes like clogged pores, hormones, or recurring spots in the same area.
