Winter may be coming to an end, but you shouldn’t have to wait until summer to get that sun-kissed glow. Nourish your body with our favorite tips to let your skin shine, even when the weather might not be.
1. Stay hydrated and your skin will thank you. 🙏
We’ve all heard of the general rule of thumb: “Drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day.” But did you know that the “8x8 Rule” is the minimum adults need to avoid dehydration? In fact, the Institute of Medicine recommends women drink at least 74 ounces (or about 9 cups) of water each day, and even that depends on the individual. If you’re active, for example, you may need to increase your intake.
Hydrating your body comes with perks—boost metabolism, curb hunger pangs, reduce bloat and, you guessed it, clear up skin.
2. Exfoliate and finish off with a hydrating mask. 🧽💦
Winter may just as well be synonymous with dry skin, but removing dead cells from the skin’s surface will help your natural glow shine through. Exfoliating your skin is as easy as DIY-ing your own formula at home. We love combining 1 tablespoon brown sugar with 1 tablespoon honey for the perfect wallet-friendly scrub. Gently apply in circular motions (try not to eat it!) and rinse off with warm water to reveal softness unlike any other.
Don’t forget to finish off your at-home facial with a natural sheet mask, one designed specifically to combat dry skin. Our Hydrolock Sheet Mask is infused with fruit enzymes that not only help exfoliate superficial layers of dull skin, but lock in moisture where your skin needs it most.

3. Get your Z’s—with a humidifier. 😴
When you’re sleep-deprived, your body naturally increases its levels of the stress hormone cortisol, which can take a heavy toll on your skin. So the next time you catch yourself binge-watching Netflix late into the night, remind yourself to (1) drink a glass of water and (2) hit the hay. You may even want to consider upping your rest game with a humidifier. When it’s cold outside, the air inside can become super dry. Using a humidifier (we love this one) puts moisture back where it belongs. Let your skin breathe through the night and glow the next day.
