With jam-packed schedules and super long to-do lists, sometimes it’s difficult to carve out time for self-care. Luckily, you don’t have to completely clear your calendar in order to give yourself some TLC. You can squeeze in some me-time throughout your day in little pockets of time. Here are nine of our favorite little self-care rituals that take no more than 15-20 minutes.
Meditation offers so many mental, emotional, and physical benefits. It’ll help you clear your mind, release stress and improve your overall well being. If you’re new to the practice, start with just one or two minutes of meditation first thing in the morning before you even get out of bed. This will ensure that you kick off the day with a positive mindset.
Read a book
Instead of mindlessly scrolling through social media, carry a book with you and read a couple of pages whenever you have a few minutes of downtime. Read during your lunch break or while you’re waiting for an appointment. Every spare minute counts towards your self-care time.
