We’re right there with you, sister. Hormonal acne is a common side effect of menstruation and an issue that hits home for many teenage girls and women, typically starting with puberty and ending with menopause. In fact, an estimated 50 percent of women ages 20 to 29, and 25 percent of women ages 40 to 49 experience hormonal acne!
As women who experience hormonal acne, we know all too well how periods impact our skin, and we weren’t seeing the results we wanted in other products out there. So, we decided to do something about it.
We initially introduced Period Beauty with facial sheet masks to relieve all the skin troubles that we experience while menstruating, whether it be dry skin, oily skin, patchy texture, hyper-pigmentation and everything in between. While the masks have proven to be extremely gentle yet extremely effective, we also wanted to create a product that tackled acne and blemishes head-on (no pun intended!). Why We're Different 🤔
Trust us when we say we’ve tested all other patches out there. Nothing worked as well as we’d hoped, so we decided to develop a new, stronger product to suit our own wants and needs. Rael's Acne Healing Patch is:
- Made with high-grade hydrocolloid to adhere directly to the skin and extract all the pus and impurities straight from the source. This way, the infected area is protected from external germs and infections, picking and scarring is minimized and the healing process is accelerated.
- Effective even on those pesky pimples that haven’t surfaced! The Healing Patch will calm, flatten and soothe your skin even before the pimple dares say “hello.”
- Totally invisible so you can feel confident wearing them in bright sunlight. Nobody will notice you’re healing that blemish at the same time.
- Designed with a perforated back sheet so the Healing Patch is easily-peeled and remains sanitary.
How To Use 👍
- Identify and cleanse the infected area.
- Remove one patch from the perforated back sheet and apply to the cleansed area.
- Wait 4-6 hours, or until you see that the patch has turned a faint white. Remember, our Healing Patches are translucent so you shamelessly apply it during the day!
- Remove the patch, cleanse and moisturize the area. (Pro tip: We recommend using a facial sheet mask after!)
